R56 MINI Turbo Upgrade software just about ready

Since the introduction of aftermarket turbo kits for the R56 MINI Cooper S we have been working with a few selected clients to create a tuned file for the upgraded turbo kits on the market.  Typically these kits consist of only hardware leaving the critical software component out of the picture.  So far we have been running running a reliable 19-20psi of boost with no significant issues specifically the dreaded limp mode.  Look for this software to be released in the coming weeks for 2007+ MINI's with upgraded turbo kits.  Below are some pictures of one of our MINI Clubman test rigs currently running 19psi on a daily basis.  Stay tuned and subscribe to the blog! Dyno posts coming soon!

New MINI Cooper Performance Handbook

Here it is!  Our good friend Jeff started writing this book about MINI Cooper Tuning and asked us, MINI Madness  to be a part of it.  We helped by offering our technical expertise, products and installation services. Were totally excited to see the book on Amazon for Pre-Order.  Not sure on the release date but the the book includes a lot of good information on performance tuning and installations.  Basically it a guide to give you a good idea of what to do and how hard it might be to do it.  For example, there's enough data in the book on installing a limited slip differential to allow you to make the decision on weather or not to do the job yourself or to have it performed by a shop.

Good Feedback,

Here at Madness even the kiddies like the goods. One of our good customers sent us this photo and wrote a nice review we thought we would share.  Thanks Murilo

Here we go my review:
I had only JCW filter installed and I select the Stage 2 package from MM, plus lowering springs set and Hawk performance brakes. By talking on phone with George it was easy for him to capture what I was expecting and it was clear that I was looking for things that I didn't need. It lowered the cost of what I wanted for my car.
1. Response of the car is much better, it got more nervous and the overall handling is awesome.
2. The Madness exhaust sound is really nice and the pop when you release the throttle I am calling as “rolling pop”. I had a session of just of stepping on the gas and releasing just to hear the sound.
3. George's control of scheduling of the parts and response to questions are very prompt. In my personal experience with Mini Madness and George is that he doesn't just want to sell his product and but instead he wants to see a happy customer.
4. My wife drove the car and I was sitting in the curb and watching the car moving around and she cranked 1st and 2nd gear, and was nice to see the Mini stretching on the road, the sound was great both the super charger with more revs now and the exhaust.
5. After that was my turn, groceries shopping will never be the same. I guarantee I will always forget something on the list and the store around the corner is not good anymore and doesn't compare with the ones on the next town.

One of our good customers is thinking of going racing! Turns out this car has a few of our goodies on it! MINI is a small world and even smaller in racing. After I saw the pictures I instantly recognized it as the Sushi car. Flirt Sushi in NJ to be specific. He found this MINI on Ebay at a very good price so we'll see if he decides to go for it. I'm sure is he does we'll be seeing it here very soon and maybe adding our Stage 4 kit ;)
